   This was the story of my life!   Don’t even get me started on the physiological bullsh*t that went along with all that jazz – indigestion, nausea, IBS, tension headaches, muscle aches, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and panic attacks, stress hives  – plus the ADD, terrible short term memory and procrastination to boot!

And how about feeling guilty when you take time to rest or say no to someone, or always looking for ways to get out of social activities! Jeez I could go on and on…

How I didn’t realize I had anxiety for so many years is beyond me!

My path to freedom began with holistically trying to solve my insomnia and dropping the sleeping meds. That’s when I realized that the reason I had insomnia was this anxiety – the incessant, obnoxious, ever-pervasive thoughts that WOULD NOT STOP as I lay in bed trying to sleep.

I needed to change my relationship with my thoughts.

I spent months researching, reading, studying and experimenting. I studied Ayurveda to treat myself mind, body and spirit. To understand how everything I did and experienced was connected. I studied neuroplasticity and the science of habits (because anxiety at it’s core is a habit – and habits can be broken!). Through the study and practice of mindfulness and a daily meditation practice I truly understood through experience how to create the freedom from automatic reactions (fear, anger, sadness, vulnerability…) and instead to react how I choose – and I choose happiness and kindness, in case you’re wondering!

I was absolutely TRANSFORMED!

For the first time in my life, I was able to sleep! Like, through the night – without drugs! I felt like I could finally breathe. My constant fears started to drift away.  I was able to make decisions and feel confident about them. I stopped caring what people thought about me because I knew I was living in tune with my values. I’m finally living the life I always wanted and feel f*cking fantastic about it.

After that, I wanted more than anything to spend the rest of my life showing others that happiness and freedom are absolutely possible!

I became a certified Health Coach and Life Coach to learn how to guide people through transformation. I became an Ayurvedic practitioner to add to my experience as a certified yoga teacher to incorporate a truly holistic approach to my program. I trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and meditation to further incorporate science-based proven methods.

We’ll start with an initial 60-minute session to explore your current situation and barriers and give me a deep sense of your self-narratives and strengths. We’ll set clear goals for the next 3 months and then progress in moving you towards them.

We’ll then meet for 11 weekly 60-minute coaching sessions to ignite, motivate and inspire you into action and help you develop insight into what’s in your way, to help you get unstuck and transform. You’ll change your relationship with your thoughts and learn to hear and trust your intuition.

Through the process, you’ll learn how to be your own coach so you can continue growing on your path long after the program ends.

I was experiencing a lot of anxiety and started having panic attacks. I wanted to learn how to cope with my stressors and move on with confidence and resilience.
Since taking the program, I don't feel as anxious or stressed anymore, and if I do, I can more easily work through it and realize that it isn't as bad as I think. I definitely have grown and learned how to reframe my thoughts. I needed help with not reacting so much to my triggers. I was considering going back to weekly therapy but decided to give Sandy's course a try first. Previously, the slightest tap on my triggers would have sent me over the edge. After taking the program, I'm now practicing more self-compassion, especially when it comes to rest. I came to Sandy feeling depressed, anxious, and worrying about how other people in my life view me. She was very attentive and intuitive at asking the questions I needed to answer to help move forward.  She allows her client the space and opportunity to explore their thought process. Sandy is so easy to talk to and she understands what I was going through.  I never felt like she was judging me, and she always made me feel at ease when I was uncomfortable with my thoughts and saying them out loud.
She armed me with the tools to work on myself; to recognise my thought process and know when to stop the spiral I found myself in.  I am still practicing the techniques, and I find them great in putting things in order for me.  I have now taken up mediation which I strive to do everyday.
The whole process takes time and practice, and I have noticed a significant improvement in the way I handle things that once would have bothered me and had me living in other people's heads.
