TODAY’S LESSON
Non-Identification. Are you wearing sh*t colored glasses?
Jump to: Weekly Meditation | Journal Prompt | Affirmation
Today’s lesson you’ll learn:
- How you can stop taking things personally by learning not to identify your Self with your thoughts (or what other people think of you).
- Why a negative belief structure is at the root of negative thinking.
Non-identification means that your sense of who you are is not fused with or defined by your thoughts and emotions. This brings about a natural sense of freedom and ease.
Because then we realize that we are not victims of our emotions or controlled by our thoughts – that we are in control.
When we learn to not identify our sense of Self with this idea, these neurons that fired to try and put words to a feeling we have – we find true control.
Today – Identify the lens you are viewing the world through. If you called yourself an idiot – what lens is this? If you are feeling impatient, judgmental, angry – bring your attention to the lens and see if you can label it as positive, negative or neutral.
