Today’s lesson you’ll learn:

  • Open awareness style meditation.
  • Strengthening the skill of letting go of thoughts.

Up until now, we have been practicing a focused-attention meditation style.

The last step of which involves letting go of a thought in order to redirect your attention.

Today we lean into that skill with an open-awareness meditation.

True, meditation isn’t about keeping a clear and quiet mind.

But we can practice this with intention to enhance the skill of letting go of our thoughts so that we can be open to what comes next.

Today – Practice clearing your mind with open-awareness using the Pause and Listen breath. Breathe in slowly, and at the top, pause and listen to the silence in between your breaths. Exhale slowly, then pause and listen to the silence in between.
