TODAY’S LESSON
I always have the best intentions. Having self compassion even for your inner critic.

Today’s lesson you’ll learn:

  • What self-compassion really means.
  • Why there is a “good” reason behind every negative thought.

Self compassion is being just as kind, understanding, and empathetic towards ourselves as we are others.

We end up being our own harshest critics. That leads us to visualize that criticism as an inner bully. Or if we procrastinate, we might call it self-sabotage. But these sound like scary things that we need to fight or run away from.

It’s using a negative, fear based strategy. Instead, we want to adopt a positive, love based strategy.

Today – find the positive intent behind your self critical thoughts. What does she or he really need? Can you give that to them (to yourself)? Start with the basics: Do I need: Food, water, sleep, movement? Do I need to feel: safe, connected, comforted, appreciated, respected, validated, motivated?
