“I guess my question is about how this applies to romantic relationships. I find with my most recent ex, I was always trying to get reassurance. He identified as an avoidant/emotionally detached. But I kept chasing. I felt like if only I could convince him or get him to like me, I would feel better about myself. It’s been 4 months since the breakup and I’m still playing in my mind “if only”. I know I need to improve the not being good enough thoughts, but it’s been tough. I definitely indulge in these thoughts.”
